A HipMap bridges print and digital experiences, pairing a printed map with an interactive mobile app. This gives guests the ability to choose which format works best for them. For those who prefer a digital experience, they simply scan a QR code on your printed map or front desk sign, download the free HipMaps app, and enter your unique access code. No account is needed, no email address is entered. Your map opens with their live blue dot on it, so they always know where they are in relation to the places you’re recommending — no sponsored listings, no chain coffee shop crowding out the local one. Each location includes your own notes (“great rooftop deck at sunset,” “wheelchair-accessible path around the lake”), a link to the business’s website, and one-tap directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

Your Completed HipMap

Your finished map arrives as an image file that is yours to use however you like: printed for the front desk and concierge desk, posted on your website and social channels, emailed to guests before arrival, or offered as a perk to groups booking your event space. Website links in the app can be made trackable, so partners helping fund the map can see the traffic it sends them.
