If you are not located in the area that the custom map covers, you will not see your location on the custom map.
If you are located inside of the area that the custom map covers and you still do not see your location, close the app completely. Re-open the app and when prompted “Allow ‘HipMaps’ to use your location?” select ‘Allow While Using App’.
If you still do not see your location, go into your device’s Settings and search for ‘Location’. Select Location Services, scroll down to see where HipMaps is listed. Click on HipMaps and select allow location access ‘While Using the App’. Return to the HipMaps app and you should now see your location.
If you still do not see your location, make sure that the app is installed on a GPS-enabled device and that you have connectivity.
